9 different firefighter fathers welcomed their babies around the same time

True friends are not easy to find. Yet, one set of babies in Southern California has built-in best pals. Confused? Nine employees of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District had infants at the same time. They had seven girls and two boys in total.

"Welcome to Rancho Cucamonga Fire's newest members of the family!" Nine infants were born in the department between March and July of this year, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to document this beautiful occasion," the fire department posted on Facebook. "We are delighted to see our RCFD fire family continue to grow!"

It's not something that happens all the time. As a result, when the news broke, it became a headline. Before you ask, no, this lovely miracle was not planned. It's purely coincidental.

"I remember when we found out there were, like, six, and then it was like, oh no, wait there's seven, no there's eight, and then when we found out there was nine, we were just like, 'I can't believe it,'" one member recalled.

To mark the event, they even held a firefighter-themed photo session.

"It's brought everyone closer together, not just the nine firefighters, but also the wives," said Gabrielle Costello, the woman behind the viral photos. "We discuss advice, sleep routines, and other new mom-related information."

"Our men work 24-hour shifts, seven days a week. "They are gone for weeks during fire season," she noted. "It's good to have people that understand what it's like to be a fireman."
