All artists use tools, but Jasenko orevi is a Bosnian sculptor who makes art from tools. orevi was born in Tulza, Bosnia. He creates detailed pencil-tip sculptures with an X-actor knife and a tiny chisel. The result looks like it was made out of stone or burned wood. When orevi saw the work of Dalton Ghetti, he got the idea to carve pencils.
orevi likes to work with graphite, also called "black lead," because it is both hard and soft. When working with a black lead, you must be very careful because even a tiny mistake can cause it to break.
