A man finds strangers he took pictures of on the street 40 years ago to recreate the pictures

Chris Porsz was a paramedic in Peterborough, England, in the 1970s and 1980s. He spent hours walking around the city and taking pictures of regular people. The photographer took interesting and real pictures of people, from punks to police officers. Nearly 40 years later, Porsz, also known as the "paramedic paparazzo," started where he left off with his project and is now working as both a smart detective and a photographer.

Porsz has spent the last seven years trying to find his previous people and convince them to take that famous pose again. Porsz says that no one else has ever found so many strangers and made copies of their photos this way. The results are a fascinating look at how people have broken up, grown up, and changed their styles. It came about because of "careful planning, detective work, and some crazy coincidences."

Not only was Porsz's update a reunion for the people photographed and the people he photographed, but it was also often a reunion for the people themselves since some of them hadn't seen each other in decades. Porsz told Daily Mail what he thought about this. He said, "It has been so rewarding to plan so many reunions and see people's faces light up when they see old friends again. I've felt quite fortunate".

Porsz and author Jo Riley put together a book with pictures and stories called "Reunions." It can be found on his website.
