Many people assume that comics with bunnies, cupcakes, teddy bears, or flowers must be cheerful and uplifting. Not in the case of Ryan Pagelow. Ryan Pagelow is the creator of the popular webcomic "Buni." Ryan makes primarily wordless comics that appear hilarious at first but end on an unexpected, twisted, and occasionally dark note.
Buni Ryan defines his main character as "a naive optimist with awful luck." The author also portrays buni as someone who is "constantly crushed by the real world." Buni is an everlasting optimist whose most incredible efforts never seem to bear fruit. Nonetheless, he continues to aspire for the best every day.
