When we think about getting old, we feel like life is over. But, thank goodness, we are wrong, and even then, you can make significant changes for the better in your life.
Steve Ramsden, a 60-year-old man from Wakefield, England, is an example of someone who changed his habits and stopped eating fast food and takeout. He now looks like a bodybuilder and is getting ready to compete in bodybuilding contests.
Bored Panda talked to him to find out his secrets.

Steve Ramsden is an English man who is 60 years old and lives in Wakefield.
It's never too late to lose weight, and people over 50 can do it by changing how they live. On the other hand, Steve needed not only to lose weight but also to build muscle.
Steve decided to change his life and quit eating fast food and takeout.
We didn't know what made Steve decide to change his way of life. He said, "I couldn't tie my shoes without getting out of breath, and moving a patient at work hurt my back."
He also said what made him the most upset every day. "I had to wear too big clothes to show my midriff."
In just ten months, he lost over 60 lbs.
We asked him how long it took him to get where he was going. He said, "Over ten months, I lost more than 60 pounds."
We were worried about his health because he had lost a lot of weight. Steve said, "The doctors gave me normal readings. I'm no longer borderline diabetic or have high cholesterol." Normal was how my blood pressure was. My whole family is behind me."
Not only does he look different, but he also feels better.
He also says that he feels better about himself and is healthier.
"My body feels a lot better. I got clothes that fit my body well. Now, I feel good about myself when I go out. I have more energy and feel less stressed when I'm out in public."
Steve said, "I'm happy with my body right now."
We asked Steve, who has lost weight before, what he would tell people who don't like their bodies but can't find the motivation to change.
"Start by going for a walk, throwing away your takeout menus, and cutting back as much as you can on bread and alcohol. From there, you can go. After the first month, you will see a big difference."
Steve wants to enter bodybuilding competitions with his son Danbo these days.
Steve's body looks so great now that he's unsure if he should keep going.
"Right now, I'm delighted with my body, but my son Danbo and I want to compete next year in bodybuilding events."
Getting rid of bad habits is hard, but giving up something you like is even more challenging. We asked Steve what he misses from his old life now. "I only miss fresh cream cakes," he said.
Steve shows that 60 is not too old to make a change.
And finally, a reminder for everyone: "People say they don't have time, but they watch TV for more than 2 hours a night on average. Take 30 minutes of that time and do some cardio. These small changes will change everything."
