Brian Dowling, an American photographer, took pictures of beautiful redheads worldwide. Brian went to more than 20 countries to show stories and photos about people with red hair, taken by redheads, and to give people with the MC1R gene around the world something to think about.
Red hair is the rarest hair colour in the world. About 1% of people have red hair because of a gene mutation called MC1R. This gene change can also change a person's ability to handle pain, be exposed to sunlight, and have their hair turn grey. Instead, your red hair will turn blonde or even white as you age.
