An Artist Draws Male Superheroes as Pinup Models, and They Turn Out to Be Surprisingly Attractive

David Talaski-Brown is an artist, a husband, and the father of a chihuahua. He lives in Portland, Oregon. Since he can remember, he has been drawing, sculpting, and clicking in MS Paint. He ended up in the Art Institute of Portland animation program, which has since closed, where he mostly worked on 2D animation. He didn't end up in animation, though. Instead, he went to work in a studio where they made art for video games.

David is also working on his projects. One of these is a funny series of illustrations in which he turns male superheroes into classic pinup models. Look at them below!

"When I started dating my husband, we both liked comic books and superhero movies, so they have become a big part of our relationship. "We always look forward to them, even when they aren't good," says David.

The artist began working on the series about two years ago when he started selling his work at local conventions and online. "I was going to have a table at my first convention, and I didn't think I had anything worth selling," David said. "I thought it would be fun to draw popular male superheroes in style like Elvgren and Vargas's pinups."
