Cats and dogs have been some of humankind's best friends from the animal kingdom for a long time. But under certain circumstances, we can form close and loving friendships with other wild animals. A 12-year-old boy in Russia named Vadim Veligurov made friends with a wild sparrow bird, and he did the same thing with him.
Vadim and the tiny bird, named Adi, have been inseparable since he found the baby bird and nursed it back to health. They have been together ever since. His grandmother lived in Minusinsk, a far-off Russian town in the Krasnoyarsk region. He found a little bird while spending the summer there. As soon as he nursed it back to health, it decided to stay with him. It perched on his shoulder and even shared food with him.
This isn't the first time we've seen kids and animals play together. Tippi Degre, a real-life "Mowgli," made friends with many African animals. However, Vadim's friend is a little easier to deal with than Tippi's friends. He plans to take the bird back to his house when the summer is over.
